Kenora Ontario

Kenora is the nearest major town to Minaki. There is a Safeway grocery store, motels and hotels and bait and tackle stores. Kenora is also home of Husky the Musky on the beautiful Kenora waterfront on Lake of the Woods. Many people are aware of good fishing in the Kenora area on Lake of the Woods - but its far better if you fly out from Kenora to Sydney Lake where its remote location has kept the fisheries in pristine shape for trophy walleye lake trout and northern pike fishing. You can fly into Sydney Lake directly from the Kenora waterfront but we recommend flying in from Minaki where the short drive reduces flight costs.
