International Flights

Winnipeg

Winnipeg International Airport has scheduled flights that can connect you from anywhere on the globe. Once in Winnipeg you have 4 options to get to Sydney Lake Lodge.

• Rent a car - Its a three hour drive to Minaki from Winnipeg.  Once at River Air you can park your rental there for your stay for free.

• Have us arrange a pick up - We can arrange a shuttle to pick you up to take you to Minaki and back to the airport when you return. (additional fees apply)

• Fly In from Selkirk Manitoba - The nearest float plane base in Selkirk a 45 minute drive north of Winnipeg is Selkirk.  You can get there via taxi or chartered car.

• Fly direct to Sydney Lake - Fly-In Directly to Sydney Lake Lodge from the Winnipeg International Airport on River Air's Amphibious Caravan.  This is the quickest way to the camp and eliminates the need for car rentals or taxis. Subject to additional flight fees

Kenora

Kenora Airport has several scheduled flights and a large paved runway for larger corporate jets. Once in Kenora you have 3 options to get to Sydney Lake Lodge.

• Rent a car - Its a 45 minute drive to Minaki from Kenora Airport.  Once at River Air you can park your rental there for your stay for free.

• Have us arrange a pick up - We can arrange a shuttle to pick you up to take you to Minaki and back to the airport when you return. (additional fees apply)

• Fly direct to Sydney Lake - Fly-In Directly to Sydney Lake Lodge from the Kenora Airport on River Air's Amphibious Caravan.  This is the quickest way to the camp and eliminates the need for car rentals or taxis. Subject to additional flight fees

Fort Francis / International Falls

Fort Francis Airport has several scheduled flights and a large paved runway for larger corporate jets. International Falls also has many regional connecting flights. From International Falls its a short drive across the border in a hired car or Taxi to Fort Francis Airport. 

• Rent a car - Its a 3.5 hour drive (170 miles) to Minaki from International Falls.  Once at River Air you can park your rental there for your stay for free.

• Fly direct to Sydney Lake - Fly-In Directly to Sydney Lake Lodge from the Fort Francis Airport on River Air's Amphibious Caravan.  This is the quickest way to the camp and eliminates the need for car rentals or taxis. Subject to additional flight fees

International Flight Tips

• Book returning flights after 4:00pm on your departure date.  This allows plenty of time for any weather delay or other possible delay.  (remember you need to be checked in 2 hours before an international flight).

• Have your travel documents (passport) ready and on your person.
